Like any tourist hotspot in the Riviera Maya, Playa del Carmen can be expensive. At the moment, it’s closer in feel to Puerto Vallarta which is a very good thing. It’s developed commercially, but not to the extent of Cancun or Tulum. It’s one of the most sought-after beach destinations in the Riviera Maya. ![]()
